Today at approximately 3:30 pm Two Black males in a White or Light blue Oldsmobile broke the window out of the concession vendor's truck! This occurred in broad daylight in Founders Hall lot. The trucks doors were locked, so the perpetrators broke the window and snatched the cash bag from the truck in less than two minuets Security was involved with staff during the theft and did not see the persons. Video surveillance only recorded vehicle and not the person's faces. All staff students and faculty are caution to notice any and all unknown persons or vehicles on campus and report this to Facilities and Safety office ASAP! A report is being filed with MPD.

I have received notice from local security agencies that there have been a number of car burglaries at Idelwild Presbyterian Church and at Lindenwood. MPD has taken steps to increase patrols in this area. However, all faculty, staff, and students are reminded to be sure all vehicles are locked and all valuables are removed from cars. Please remember to remove GPS units, and satellite radios, as they seem to be targeted by the perpetrators. They are also targeting catalytic converters from underneath people's cars. Please report any strange persons or activities you may notice to the Facilities and Safety office immediately.

Our friends at CBU have made arrest involving Car Burglaries near the campus housing. Attached is a copy of the arrest report. However, I caution all that this does not mean the problem is resolved, as there seems to be a group of perpetrators.
