Fr. Paul Christy was born in Cleveland, OH on September 7, 1952. After being raised in Buffalo, NY he attended Miami-Dade Jr. College and then Florida International University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. After some years of teaching and coaching in Miami, FL, Fr. Paul went back to FIU for a Masters in Community Counseling (1975).
In 1984 he entered Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology (Seminary) in Brookline, MA and graduated with distinction in 1988.
He was married to his wife Mary in 1989 and ordained into the Priesthood in 1990. He served his first parish at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago, IL. In July of 1995 he was assigned to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church here in Memphis, TN where he serves to this day. He has three children Daniella (16) and twins William & Gabriella (13).
