Wesleyan Studies Position Announcement

Memphis Theological Seminary invites applications for a tenure-track position in Wesleyan Studies to begin in the fall of 2008. Responsibilities include teaching United Methodist history, doctrine, polity, and pan-Methodist studies; the possibility of teaching in the areas of church history and/or theology; and, since MTS is approved by the United Methodist Senate, fostering relationships with Annual Conferences. Qualifications include a Ph.D. with a focus on Wesleyan Studies and a commitment to diversity, collegiality, and the life of the church. Rank is open. ABD considered. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates, especially those from traditionally under-represented populations. Evangelism and Mission Position Announcement

Memphis Theological Seminary seeks a tenure-track faculty member in Evangelism and Mission to begin in the fall of 2008. Responsibilities include teaching all aspects of evangelism and mission in masters and doctoral level programs, M.Div., M.A.R. and D.Min. The successful candidate will have global perspectives and broad training in the theologies and models of evangelism and mission, adaptation and enculturation, and inter-religious dialogue. Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered, rank open. Qualifications include a commitment to diversity, collegiality, and the life of the church.
