Admissions

Memphis Theological Seminary offers the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degrees for ordained ministry as well as the Master of Arts in Religion (M.A.R.) degree for lay ministry.

The deadlines for application on the master's level are August 10 for the fall semester, and January 10 for the spring semester. The deadline for D.Min. applications is March 31 of the year you plan to begin the program.

ADMISSIONS STAFF

Barry Anderson (banderson@MemphisSeminary.edu) is the Director of Admissions at MTS. Barry is a 1980 graduate of Samford University and a 1983 graduate of MTS. A Cumberland Presbyterian minister, Barry has served churches in Indiana, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi. He earned his D.Min. in 1998 from MTS.

Debra Matthews (dmatthews@MemphisSeminary.edu) is an Admissions Associate and Recruiter at MTS. Debra is also a 2005 graduate of MTS. As an ordained Cumberland Presbyterian minister, Debra has served as a Christian Education Coordinator for several local congregations as part of her responsibilities as the Chairman of the Board of Christian Education for the Huntsville Presbytery of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America. She is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry program of studies at MTS.
