Dr. Matt Mathews joined the faculty in 2005. His current research focuses on the connection between faith and health, as well as on the role of aesthetics in the Christian life. He is a co-author of Shaping the Christian Life: Worship and the Religious Affections (Westminster John Knox Press, 2006) and Dust and Breath: Faith, Health, and Why the Church Should Care About Both (Eerdmans, 2012). He is also a fine art landscape photographer and active participant in MTS’s Theology and Arts program. He is an active member and ordained ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Dr. Mathews also serves as the faculty liason for students seeking ordination in the Presbyterian Church (USA).
